Executive Positions and Responsibilities
Martin Dungay - Chairman
To effectively organise association meetings, communicate agendas and ensure that all activities of the ECA are in line with the associations charter and are in the interests of both the members and the local sporting community.
Tim Heath - Treasurer
To manage the associations finances by preparing annual budgets, managing the associations accounts, collecting membership and other fees, ICC and sponsorship funds, controlling payments to suppliers and assisting any external auditors to finalise reports and accounts.
Nand Lal Riar - Secretary
To confirm and book all fixtures for both the domestic league and visiting teams, record results on the ECA web site and to prepare and keep minutes from the association meetings. To send out communications to association members.
Andres Burget - PR & Media and Community Relations
To seek out opportunities for the promotion of the ECA and its activities, by being the primary person responsible for communicating press releases about our activities to media outlets, exploiting sponsorship opportunities and helping to maintain postive relations with the Estonian Olympic committee, the Estonian coaches association, and potential University faculty and teams and any other relevant community organisations. This position shoudll work closely with the recruitment officer.
James Ramsden - ECA / ICC Liason Officier
To be the primary contact and to maintain effective relations with the ICC and their officials, ensuring that the ECA board is fully aware of all opportunities and responsibilities from our ICC affiliation. To develop relationships with other international cricketing associations with whom we can organise tournaments for seniors, juniors and womens cricket.
Kristjan Kogerman - Grounds Manager
To coordinate all activities in maintaining the Hippodrome ground, liasing with Hippodrome management and other facilities on new ground additions such as nets and signage. Controlling fixture conflicts with horse races and other events. Supervising ground maintanance, from grass cutting, and rolling, negotiating with suppliers, contractors and potential lessors of equipment and ensuring proper storage facilities of association equipment at the ground. To ensure that the ground is prepared correctly for all matches.
Non Executive Positions
Tim Filer - National Coach and Development Manager
To be in charge of the management and conduct of all cricketing games and trainings, in order to provide an enjoyable and positive playing environment and coaching opportunties that will encourage the involvement and development of players of all ages, sex and of varied talent.
To develop the skills and assist in the selection and coaching of the Estonian National 1st X1.
To develop and assist with events and the coaching and support of new players that can play in the domestic league.
To offer support and advice to the captains of each of the domestic teams in making the domestic league successful.
To develop coaching plans and tournaments for youth and women players. To assist with the development of local Estonian coaches. To coordinate and recommend to the secretary and board, available times for the use of nets, grounds or indoor facilities in meeting the needs of teh overall association To manage the kit and inform the Board of additional items that will need to be purchased or replaced.
Estonian Coaches/ Youth team coaches Need to be qualified sports trainers certified to train childrens groups. Responsible for developing school youth teams while also playing in the domestic league.
Skill Coaches To offer support to the National coach in offering personal player coaching in batting, bowling, fielding etc.
Domestic League Team Captains To captain each domestic team for the 2009 season. The ECA is now actively looking for sponsors for each team and with the assistance of the National coach, current and new players will be divided up in order to create some balance between these teams. The captains will then be responsible for generating a competetive team spirit, encouraging player participation and attendence and then fielding the team with the goal of winning the tournament.
