Peter North XI batted first
It was yet another convincing victory for Estonia in what was a more of a development game as the inexperienced players were given a chance to show of their skills. The batting and bowling orders were reversed.
Jason won the toss and put the opposition to bat. Gleb opened the bowling along with Alex. Both the bowlers balled a tight line and length. Gleb was rewarded with his first wicket when he bowled out the visitor's opener. Andres replaced Gleb and James took over from Alex. James was told to bowl spin rather than pace and he took bit of a stick in his first 2 overs. Then he came back strongly when he switched back to pace. By this time the score was quite under control with the opposition at 60 but with 9 wickets left.
Then our captain turned to his experienced bowlers Mike, Vineeth, Siva, and visitinig Aussie, Will. The opposition wilted under the pressure and collapsed to 76 all out.
Estonian 2nd XI Innings
Rob and Gleb opened the innings. Surprising Rob could not last long and he was out caught. Gleb batted well to score 7 runs, along with Alex who hit the first boundary in his career. Gleb fell trying to hit a short pitched ball and Alex was bowled. Andres and Mike replaced them, but Andres did not last long getting bowled and Mike was out caught brilliantly by the Slip fielder. Vineeth and Martin stepped in. Vineeth hit the bowler for a six and a four, ending up as the highest scorer with 15. Martin was run out with the team needing 2 runs to win. He was replaced by Siva and Vineeth fell with the scores tied. Tim scored the winning runs hitting the bowler for a four over square leg.
In the end it was an easy win for the Estonian team in spite of using their inexperienced players for most of the match.
