Estonia's international cricket season opened with a 3 match series against Latvia.
The match was inaugurated by the British ambassador, Mr Peter Carter. Tim Heath was the captain of the Estonian side and Samit was his opposite number. The Latvians won the toss and decided to bat.
Murali and Vineeth opened the bowling from the Arena pub and stable ends respectively. Murali terrorized the batsman with his extreme pace and length. Vineeth Swung the ball away from the batsman. The first batsman was caught of Vineeth's bowling by Murali at short. The next 3 batsmen fell of Vineeths bowling 1 bowled and 2 caught by Martin(WK). Latvia were in spot of bother at 32/4, but Bommick playd a few lusty shots to up the tempo.
He didnt last long as he was bowled by Anil first ball after the drinks break. Nand lal reminded the batsmen that cricket is a hard game with his aggressive bowling which hit the batsmen a couple of times. Both he and Anil accounted for 2 wickets each before Tim heath and Murali cleaned up the tail. Latvia were bowled out for 83 runs.
Tim F and Anil opened the batting for Estonia .The latvian bowling didnt trouble them. Anil rotating strike with Tim for quick singles and Tim playing classic cricket strokes on both sides of the wickets taking the bowlers to the cleaners. Estonia lost their only wicket, Anil with 1 run to win when he was caught at long off. The winning runs were of a wide. In the end it was a comprehensive win by the Estonian team.
