Estonia hosted Poynings CC in a 3 game series.The first game was a 20-20. Under cloudy conditions and drizzle Poynings won the toss and decided to bat.
The rain earlier in the morning had made the field slippery and it was going to be a challege for the fielding sides. Murali and Vineeth opened the bowling but were unable to get a break through. The skipper decided to move around the bowling a bit hoping for wickets and the move worked when Siva bowled Brookes, with the very first ball of his spell. Nand and Murali hit the batsmen a couple of times on the body, with Murali bowling Fowler with an inswinging yorker in his 2nd spell.
The 3rd batsman Curtis was run out by Gleb and the next wicket fell in a similar way. Inspite of getting only 4 batsmen out, Estonia did well to restrict them to 103 of 20 overs.
Estonia opened their batting with Anil starting cautiously and Nand aggressive from the ouset, hitting a rapid 14 runs before being caught at long off.
Tim came in next and as usual didnt waste any time practising his defence strokes. He hit 4 massive 6s before being bowled. Shiva was next and along with Anil knocked of the remaining runs with 7 overs to spare.
