The last day of Poynings tour and the sun was shining, but not their fortunes on the cricket field.
After deciding to field though, they initially troubled the batsmen, however they couldnt get any break through. Anil was playing a patient innings and Tim F batting as well as he did in the previous match. He scored 34 runs which included 2 6s before being caught at fine leg.
Tim Heath was in next and half way through his innings some of the fielders felt it was better to stand outside the field so that they catch those massives 6s. It was pure carnage, as the bowlers, especially the spinners, were hit either side of the field. The ball had to be replaced three times, as some of them landed in the stables near by. By the time he was out caught on the 2nd last ball of the innings, he had scored 66 of 21 balls. Anil scored his half century from the last ball of the innings. Estonia scored 160 of 20 overs.
Andrus K and Rana opened the bowling, though they didnt get any break throughs, the batsmen couldn't scored very freely. The first wicket fell of the Vineeth's bowling,a good catch by Tim F. Murali had the next batsmen out bowled. Andrus took 2 wickets in his 2nd spell and Siva got rid of Standing caught by Gleb.
Poynings were never in the match as the bowling was tight and they were never near the required run rate. Eventually they fell short by 59 runs.
It was 3 great days of cricket and yet another magnificent performance by Estonia extending their winning record to 6 from 6.
